Road Access & Feasibility: The site exhibits excellent logistical access. It is located in a well-developed commercial office park immediately adjacent to major arterial roads (S. Dee Road) and highways (I-294). Access is via public, paved roads that appear to be constructed to commercial standards, capable of supporting heavy truck traffic. This significantly de-risks the delivery of large, heavy components such as battery containers, pad-mount transformers, and switchgear.
Terrain Characteristics: Based on aerial imagery and the general geography of the Chicago metropolitan area, the site is exceptionally flat. This is a significant advantage, as it will minimize civil engineering costs associated with grading and site preparation. A flat site simplifies foundation design and construction, leading to faster and more cost-effective installation.
